Veg Sindhi Kitchen ("we", "us") is a cloud kitchen operating in Gorakhpur and Hyderabad, India. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website or Android app, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to take and deliver your food orders — we do not sell your data, and we do not show ads.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details — name, email address and password when you create an account. Passwords are stored securely by our authentication provider (Supabase) and are never visible to us.
- Delivery details — phone number, delivery address, pincode, and optional saved address profiles (e.g. Home, Office) so we can deliver your orders.
- Order information — the items you order, order totals, coupons used, cooking instructions, and your order history.
- Catering enquiries — name, phone, event date, guest count, city and budget when you fill the catering form. These details are sent to our kitchen over WhatsApp and are not stored by us.
Information collected with your permission
- Approximate location (app, optional) — if you tap "Use my location" while entering a delivery address and grant permission, we use your device location once to suggest your residential community and pincode. Location is used on your device only, is never stored on our servers, and the feature is entirely optional — you can always type your address manually.
Information collected automatically
- Local app/site data — your cart, selected city and favourites are kept on your device (browser storage or app storage) so the app works smoothly. Guest carts and favourites never leave your device unless you sign in or place an order.
- We do not use analytics trackers, advertising identifiers, or third-party ad SDKs.
How we use your information
- To take, prepare and deliver your food orders, and coordinate payment and delivery timing with you on WhatsApp.
- To show you your order history and enable one-tap reorders.
- To run our loyalty programme (1% reward points on orders, redeemable per the in-app rules).
- To save your delivery profiles and favourites when you are signed in, so they sync across devices.
- To respond to catering and support enquiries.
Where your data is stored
Account, order, loyalty and saved-address data is stored with Supabase (our database and authentication provider) over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access is protected by row-level security, meaning each customer can only access their own data. Our website is hosted on Netlify.
Who we share data with
- WhatsApp — when you place an order or send a catering enquiry, the app/website opens WhatsApp on your device with the order details pre-filled. The message is sent from your own WhatsApp account to our kitchen's business number, subject to WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy.
- Service providers — Supabase (data storage and authentication) and Netlify (website hosting) process data on our behalf.
- We never sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Notifications
The Android app may show occasional local reminder notifications about our dishes. These are generated on your device, involve no data collection, and can be turned off at any time in your phone's notification settings for the Veg Sindhi Kitchen app.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your account and order history for as long as your account is active, so you can view past orders and use loyalty points. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data (profile, addresses, orders, loyalty wallet, favourites) at any time — see our account deletion page for the exact steps. We will complete deletion requests within 30 days.
Your choices
- Order as a guest — no account is needed to place an order.
- Decline location permission — address entry always works manually.
- Turn off notifications in your phone settings.
- Edit your saved details on the account page, or ask us to delete them entirely.
Children
Our services are intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
